UTC’s lecturers participated in the International workshop in Taiwan

Three lecturers of University of Transport and Communications (UTC) participated in the International workshop on “Intelligent systems and Assistive technology” held by National Chung Cheng University (CCU) of Taiwan.

From August 6th to 15th 2018, CCU successfully organized the International workshop with the topic “Intelligent Systems and Assistive Technology” focusing on main fields such as biomedical engineering, intelligent transport and smart city. The Organization committee sent the information to international partners, UTC is one of which, to invite scientists to attend the workshop. The workshop attracted 25 scientists from 12 different countries, in which there are 3 UTC’s lecturers chosen to attend the workshop. Participants were offered free registration, accommodation, meals and local transportation during the workshop. They had the chance to visit laboratories, high-tech areas, to meet and discuss with international scientists.

Lecturers of the University of Transport and Communications attended this workshop at 3 different fields, including Dr. Bui Ngoc Dung from Information Technology Faculty, Dr. Ngo Thanh Binh from Electrical and Electronic Engineering Faculty and Dr. Dang Minh Tan from Civil Engineering Faculty. This trip is a good chance for UTC’s lecturers to meet, exchange their professional knowledge with scientists of Taiwan and other countries as well as to introduce the university to international colleagues.

National Chung Cheng University is a national university in top 15 universities of Taiwan. CCU has implemented some cooperative activities with UTC. It is hoped that the cooperation with Taiwan will further develop and support UTC in academic fields such as intelligent transport, smart city.
