Final evaluation of the project “Re-structure research activities and research projects in relation to quality process” implemented by the University of Transport and Communications with the fund from AUF

The final evaluation of the project “Re-structure research activities and projects in relation to quality process” took place successfully in two days from August 20 to 21, 2020 at the University of Transport and Communications (UTC).

The project is funded by the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) to assist the UTC to restructure its research activities through the introduction of a quality improvement process proposed by the Conference of Rectors of AUF Member Universities in Asia-Pacific (CONFRASIE). On the basis of applying the Quality Improvement Process developed by AUF experts, the UTC research team reviewed the implementation and management method of scientific activities in a new approach, formulating strategic objectives to promote science and technology activities of the university.

To assess objectively the results achieved in the framework of the project, the UTC invited Dr. Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong - Vice President of Hanoi University, an expert in education and research quality assurance for Francophone educational institutions, to participate in the final evaluation of the project. After two days of focusing on working and discussing with the research team, reviewing each activity as well as the project's objectives and results achieved, Dr. Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong highly appreciated the creativity, professional and scientific work spirit of the research team during the project implementation process as well as the results achieved, and at the same time shared her experiences and valuable ideas for the team to supplement and  the final product.

Despite some difficulties due to the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic, with great effort and determination, the final activities of the project are being carried out by the UTC’s research team, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020 on schedule.
