The signing ceremony of cooperation between University of Transport & Communications (UTC) and Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF)

With the aim of comprehensively improving the quality of existing training programs as well as creating many new training programs for students who are taught in French, in the morning of September 17, 2019, UTC and AUF signed a cooperation agreement on two projects "Improving the quality of the training program of Vietnamese-French Road Bridge" and "Opening a new master training program on construction, mechanics and materials”at UTC. The International Education Faculty is the unit that directly implements these training programs.

In order to become an innovative, open and internationalized academic environment; the center of exchanges for many excellent domestic and foreign scholars and the choice of many excellent students from Vietnam and abroad; UTC is constantly promoting international cooperation activities, including the opening and enhancement of advanced and high-quality programs; affiliate programs with international elements. Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie - AUF is an important strategic partner of UTC for 25 years. AUF plays an active role in supporting students of the French language department of UTC in the process of studying, granting scholarships to study abroad and supporting the training of many generations of lecturers.

The two cooperation projects on training in this period of 2019-2021 are the continuation of many projects that have been implemented between the two parties, showing AUF's belief in the leadership and determination of UTC's Board of Management in the capacity and enthusiasm of more than one hundred doctors and faculties who have been trained in France. Through these two projects, with the support of AUF, students in the two training programs above will have many opportunities to study and work directly with French professors and approach the scholarships to go abroad. In the French-Vietnamese Road Bridge training program, students will be learning the new framework with many new modules with modern teaching methods, which allows graduates to have comprehensive skills and the opportunity to study abroad. Meanwhile, in master program, students will have one year to study in France, at UTC's partner universities such as INSA Rennes, Université de Marne La Vallée, Université d'Orléans ... and receive a master's degree issued by the French Universities.

Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Long, UTC's Rector, expressed sincere thanks to AUF for the support during the past time and affirmed that UTC will do their best to implement these two projects successfully. At the same time, UTC proposed to develop more French projects, not only at the main campus in Hanoi but also at the University's campus in Ho Chi Minh City.
