Signing the MOU with University of Pardubice, Czech Republic

The delegation of University of Pardubice, Czech Republic led by Rector Miroslav Ludwig paid a working visit at the UTC. The meeting between two parties and the Signing Ceremony were witnessed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Vietnam - Dr. Vitezslav Grepl and the Deputy Head of Mission, Political, Press and Cultural Section - Lukas Musil. Attending the signing ceremony also included Mr. Nguyen Duc Canh, Vice Chairman of Vietnamese Association in Czech Republic and Dr. Phan Dao from Ton Duc Thang University, a former student in Czech Republic. On behalf of the UTC Leader Board,  vice rector of UTC Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong presided over the meeting and signing ceremony with University of Pardubice.

University of Pardubice is a state university established right after the Second World War ended. It officially became the university in 1950 and quickly became prestigious in Czech Republic in the fields of transport engineering and technology, electrical engineering, IT, economics, administration, chemistry, food engineering,…with 8,000 students. Its education programs taught in English have attracted hundreds of international students to study here. University of Pardubice has several disciplines and faculties similar to University of Transport and Communications, typically including: Faculty of Transport Engineering; Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics; Faculty of Economics and Administration. PhD and master students can register to study programs in English. BA students can choose to follow many English-language programs. If they follow the Czech-language programs, they will be exempted from tuition fees.

Two universities also agreed to seek funding from Erasmus Mundus program and from other funding sources to establish collaborative education programs, lecturer and student exchange programs. The two sides have the same close partner such as Dresden University of Technology, which is a favorable condition for lecturers of UTC to register PhD programs under Erasmus Mundus program.

In the meeting, the Ambassador Vitezslav Grepl expressed his pleasure to witness the MOU Signing ceremony and pledged to create the most favorable conditions for two universities as well as for immigration procedures for lecturers and students to carry out collaborative programs.
