University of Transport and Communications successfully organized the 2019 International conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications

In the period from October 17th to 19th 2019 in Hanoi, The Radio-Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV), The IEEE Communications Society and the University of Transport and Communications successfully co-organized the 2019 International conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2019). This is an international forum for scientists of Vietnam and many countries around the world to exchange science and technology in the fields of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology.

Attending the conference were over 200 delegates from 26 countries across continents, representatives of ministries, universities, research institutes, corporations and businesses. In particular, the conference was honored to receive the presence and speech of Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai; Attendance of leaders and delegates from four ministries including Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Science and Technology; the participation of Viettel, VNPT, Vingroup, Keysight Technologies, Rohde & Schwarz; ...

Delivering the opening speech at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Long - Rector of the University of Transport and Communications highly appreciated the scientists for choosing ATC to share their research results and expressed: “Through this conference, the University of Transport and Communications expects to contribute and further promote activities of scientific research, application of new technologies in the design and construction of smart cities today ”.

This year, the conference received 125 papers from over 420 domestic and foreign scientists, 04 keynote speeches of scientists from Keysight Technologies Group (Dr. Doug Baney), King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang - KMITL (Prof. Dr. Monai Krairiksh), TELECOM ParisTech (Prof. Jean-Luc Danger) and National Traffic Safety Committee (Dr. Khuat Viet Hung). The presentations were made around 5 traditional technical topics and 2 special technical topics for this year: 5G network and applications and  Intelligent Transportation System.

Most of the speeches at the Conference were specialized and intensive studies with many new findings and tests on the most advanced and modern technologies in the field of telecommunications and information technology. Attending and speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister Pham Hong Hai emphasized: "In order to quickly become a digital country, Vietnam needs to exchange ideas, learn experiences from international experts and scientists, especially sharing and transferring advanced technologies in the field of telecommunications and information technology".

Being held by the collaboration between the Scientific associations with  universities, institutes, corporations, businesses in the field of electronics, communications and IT, the ATC conferences contribute to promoting research activities, training human resources for these fields. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for exchanging, networking, introducing research results and technology transfer as well as introducing products.

At the conference, the participants also had the chance to visit the product display booths of VNPT, Keysight technologies, Rohde and Schwarz, Savis technology Group, Alongis Corporation.
