Following the success of the previous annual student exchanges between University of Transportation and Communications and the Maizuru National Institute of Technology in the past 7 years, on November 9th 2016, the exchange meeting of international students between UTC and Maizuru was held successfully.

40 students from Electrical – Electronic Engineering Faculty, International Education Faculty represented for UTC as well as 30 students from Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the Maizuru National Institute of Technology had created a friendly, open and natural atmosphere with various exciting activities such as presentation to introduce the Vietnamese and Japanese culture; introduction to schools and academic disciplines; quizzes; art performances by students themselves.

The students also learned about Japanese art of paper folding - Origami

On the same day, after visiting UTC and taking photos, the Japanese students had an intimate lunch at the canteen with friends from UTC. The laughter and talks kept on spreading throughout the lunch, cheering up joyful atmosphere.

Upon the ending of the program, the students have exchanged contacts and could hardly say goodbye to their friends. The Japanese friends would definitely fall for the hospitality, friendliness, openness of the students from UTC in particular and Vietnamese people in general, thereby contributing to create good impression about the country and people of Vietnam on international friends. This annual exchange activity is not only to strengthen the cooperation between the two universities but also contribute to foster the good relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
