Workshop “French-taught training programs and career opportunities in the field of civil engineering”

On July 1st 2020, the International Education Faculty of University of Transport and Communications successully organized the workshop entitled “French-taught training programs and career opportunities in the field of civil engineering”. Attending the workshop were Madam Ouidad TEBBAA - Regional Director of AUF Asia Pacific Office, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong – Vice Rector of UTC and invitees who represented for Vietnam France University, Insa group, Apave Asia – Pacific, Elithis Group, Cementys Company, Viettel Aerospace Institute, and a number of lecturers, students.

The workshop was held to introduce the French-taught training programs including Master program in Civil Engineering – Materials – Mechanics funded by Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), as well as to share the career prospects in the field of civil engineering by representatives of enterprises, alumni in French-taught group of University of Transport and Communications.

Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong said that “The successes of UTC in recent years have received an important contribution of partners from France, especially AUF that has continuously supported UTC for a long time, starting with the Bridge and Road in French class project 24 years ago (from course 36 to Course 60 at present), and then Vietnamese-French Advanced Materials Training Program and the latest program – Collaborative Master Program in Civil engineering - Materials – Mechanics”.

Madam Ouidad TEBBAA, Director of AUF also shared and appreciated the achievements of the University of Transport and Communications, especially the successes of the projects funded by AUF. She hoped that the cooperation of two sides would continue to grow towards the common goal of "creating good conditions and learning environment for French-taught students".

In addition, the workshop received the interesting and practical sharing about opportunities of studying and working in the sector of Civil engineering – Materials – Mechanics when attending the French-taught training programs from INSA representatives, the businesses in the French civil engineering sector.

The International Education Faculty sincerely thanked speakers, participants, lecturers and students for their attendance and sharing at the workshop.
