SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OF 

UNIVERSITY OF TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS

University of Transport and Communications (UTC) is a strong, well-branded center in Vietnam for scientific research and technology transfer, especially in the field of transport and communications. The UTC has built some teams of leading experts such as a team of experts studying the phenomenon and solutions to handle rutting on the road surface, repair of Thang Long bridge deck; a team of experts implementing the ministerial-level science and technology program on design, construction and repair of reinforced concrete bridges to meet the requirements of sustainable development, smart traffic, etc. The University has a number of key laboratories equipped with advanced experimental equipment. With the above resources, the University can perform many complex and difficult research tasks of the transport sector, meeting the requirements of practice in line with the strategy of the transport industry and the national strategy of science and technology development. Research activities of the University have made many practical new contributions to the development of transport and socio-economy of the locality and the whole country.

The UTC has cooperated with enterprises and research institutes to study the problems of reality. There are many contracts of technology transfer and science and technology services signed and executed according to the orders of enterprises and localities. The University's scientific research and technology development activities have also been linked with training and have supported the training activities of PhDs, masters and advanced training for teachers.

The University regularly organizes international conferences/workshops on scientific research; organizes outgoing and incoming delegations from countries with developed science and technology such as the United States, France, Germany, Japan, Korea,.... International cooperation activities have increased a part of the funding for training and scientific research of the University, creating opportunities for students to participate in scientific research and continue studying programs at undergraduate and postgraduate level at home and abroad.

The number of articles published in specialized domestic and international journals is increasing and is consistent with the university's research and development orientation. The University has regimes and policies to encourage academic staff to publish research results internationally, especially articles in the ISI and Scopus lists.
