According to the plan developed by the Standing Committee of the University Youth Union, the 2025 Summer Volunteer Campaign focuses on three main areas of activities: “Green Summer” – spreading the spirit of sharing to disadvantaged areas; “Exam Support” – accompanying and assisting candidates in overcoming the exam challenge; and “Support to School” – helping new students in their journey to integrate into the beloved UTC community.
The campaign will run from June to October 2025, covering many areas across the country: from the center of Hanoi to remote communes such as Quan Son and Nhat Son (Lang Son); Chau Hong (Nghe An); Tu Vu (Phu Tho); Son Dien (Thanh Hoa), and more. Wherever there are difficulties, there will be the volunteer footsteps of the youth of the University of Transport and Communications.
The volunteer student teams will take part in a variety of practical and meaningful activities: building playgrounds for children, flower roads, and community waste incinerators; organizing classes for basic literacy, English, and computer skills for children and local residents; supporting high school entrance examinations, welcoming and accompanying new students; participating in environmental protection, new rural development, paying tribute to policy beneficiary families, and visiting people who have contributed to the revolution...
A highlight of this year’s campaign is the comprehensive application of digital transformation, from communication, activity registration, and force coordination to sharing information, images, and community connection. Each volunteer student is not only a devoted participant but also an active ambassador promoting the image of the University of Transport and Communications as a dynamic, humanistic, responsible, and globally integrated institution.
MSc. Nguyen Van Khoi – Secretary of the University Youth Union – presented the plan for the 2025 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign and Exam Support Campaign
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dr. Mai Nam Phong – Director of Student Affairs Department – highly appreciated the proactive, creative, and determined spirit of the Standing Committee of the University Youth Union, the University Student Association, as well as the volunteer clubs and teams in thoroughly preparing for the 2025 summer campaign. The close coordination among units across the university, along with the enthusiastic support from the City Youth Union, the City Student Association, and partners such as Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company, serves as a solid foundation for the campaign’s success. He particularly commended the volunteer students who, despite difficulties and hardships, registered to join the campaign, becoming shining examples of the youth spirit “Live beautifully – Live usefully” and the pioneering force in realizing the noble values expected by the university and society. Participating in the volunteer campaign is a journey full of challenges, but also a valuable opportunity for students to grow, practice, and affirm themselves.
Dr. Mai Nam Phong also requested the university’s Youth Union and Student Association to implement the campaign in a safe, effective, impactful, and creative manner; ensure close coordination with functional units and local authorities where volunteer teams are stationed; strengthen communication efforts and promptly commend and honor outstanding collectives and individuals; and, in particular, provide the best possible material and spiritual conditions for volunteer students, ensuring their absolute safety throughout the campaign. He affirmed that the university will always stand side by side with the students, creating all favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies, resources, and morale for the university’s student volunteer activities to be successful and sustainable.
The 2025 Summer Volunteer Campaign is not just a series of summer activities, but a convergence of youthful aspirations, patriotism, and profound humanistic ideals. It not only brings joy, sharing, and compassion to the community but also contributes to building a generation of UTC students who are “both virtuous and competent,” equipped with knowledge, ethics, responsibility, and readiness for international integration.
Dr. Mai Nam Phong expressed his confidence that with thorough preparation, the unity of the entire political system within the university, and the enthusiasm of the youth, the 2025 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign and Exam Support Campaign of the University of Transport and Communications will be a great success.
