UNIVERSITY OF TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS WELCOMES AND WORKS WITH EXPERTS FROM THE ACCEES PROJECT

On the afternoon of April 4, 2025, the University of Transport and Communications welcomed and worked with a delegation of experts from the "Accelerating Digital Transformation in Vietnamese Higher Education Ecosystem (ACCEES)" project, representing the University of Patras (Greece) and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).

The ACCEES project gathers the collaboration of universities, state management agencies, and businesses both domestically and internationally, with the expectation of promoting the development of the digital technology ecosystem in Vietnamese higher education to enhance the pedagogical capacity of lecturers and prepare students to face the new challenges of the 21st century.

Attending the working session from the University of Transport and Communications were President Nguyen Van Hung, along with members of the Steering and Management Committee, and the Project Implementation Sub-committee. Representing the partners were experts Mr. Konstantinos Lavidas, Mr. Vasileois Komis, Ms. Andromachi Filippidi, and Mr. Truong Tung Lam, the digital technology officer for the Asia-Pacific region at the AUF. At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung shared and emphasized the University's priority and investment towards building a complete digital ecosystem for a smart university through the integration of administration, training, scientific research, and advanced technologies such as Cloud computing, Big Data, AI, Blockchain, etc. The exchange and interview process helped the international experts gather information about digital transformation at the University of Transport and Communications in its administrative, training, financial, and human resource activities; its achievements, difficulties, challenges, and prospects. This information source helps the experts better understand the digital transformation in Vietnamese higher education institutions in general, and UTH in particular, thereby providing practical advice for the digital transformation activities of the member universities participating in the project.
