On May 5th, in Co To island district, 7 technical universities including: University of Transport and Communications, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), University of Science and Technology (The University of Da Nang), Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and Thuyloi University signed a memorandum of cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions. Attending the signing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training); leaders of 7 universities; Major General Bui Hai Son, Former Commander of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command; Colonel Pham Van Hieu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Command to Protect President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
Within the framework of the activities of the group of 7 technical universities, a solemn and meaningful ceremony was held to raise the flag and offer flowers to President Ho Chi Minh.

The conference was organized to evaluate the results of activities implemented in the past period, share experiences in creative startups of each university, and together create a fair, creative and open startup environment for all students, teachers, and scientists.
Previously, the group of 7 technical universities signed cooperation agreements in many areas such as: Cooperation to develop engineering training programs (signed in Da Nang in June 2020); Comprehensive cooperation on enrollment, training, scientific research and technology transfer, quality assurance and accreditation, and communication (signed in Hanoi in January 2021); Media cooperation (signed in Ho Chi Minh City in April 2021); Cooperation on science, technology and innovation (signed in Sapa in September 2022); Cooperation in international inspection and quality assurance (signed in Da Lat in December 2022); Cooperation in technology transfer and community service (signed in Binh Dinh in March 2023).

Also at the Conference, the group of 7 technical universities held a signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation on "Innovation and Entrepreneurship". The common objective is to jointly develop and promote the strengths of each University to promote cooperation in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for officials, lecturers, and students in a practical and effective way.
Based on the memorandum of understanding, 07 universities will coordinate to take advantage of existing strengths, thereby promoting stronger innovation and entrepreneurship activities. Some cooperation contents include:
