On March 28, 2023, the University of Transport and Communications held the Opening Ceremony of the Project “Developing future-oriented academic curricula in teacher education with innovative methodologies for Nex-Gen Asian HEIs” and established Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE).

The Project “Developing future-oriented academic curricula in teacher education with innovative methodologies for Nex-Gen Asian HEIs - Fraction” is sponsored by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) from 2020, under the coordination of Wrocklaw University of Science and Technology (Poland).
The project is implemented by the cooperation of 12 Universities from Poland, Germany, Spain, India, China and Vietnam. The goal of the project is to develop modern academic curricula to improve the effectiveness and creative pedagogy along with promote the professional development of lecturers at Universities in Asia. In particular, the Fraction Project also aims to create a sustainable solution to promote innovation in teaching practice through the development of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE).
In the past 3 years, 2020, 2021, and 2022, despite facing many difficulties in implementing the project due to the Covid19 epidemic, UTC - along with the efforts of the Universities in the project, has contributed time and effort to implement the work packages in the project.
The opening ceremony of “Developing future-oriented academic curricula in teacher education with innovative methodologies for Nex-Gen Asian HEIs - Fraction” under the Fraction Project and the launch of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) under the 3rd, 4th, and 5th work packages of the project. The course has attracted the participation of 11 lecturers from different universities in Vietnam such as University of Transport and Communications (UTC), Dong A Technology University, Phenikaa University, Open University Ho Chi Minh City, Thang Long University, Hanoi Medical University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi Architecture University.
The training program of the FRACTION project will contribute to improving the qualifications, innovation, and improving pedagogical capacity of lecturers. This will enable lecturers to respond to increasingly complex and diverse educational and social environments, by providing effective and innovative teaching and learning experiences in the classroom in order to enhance quality and employability of students after graduation.
