University of Transport and Communications attended Vietnam Innovation Day 2024

On October 1 and 2, 2024, the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) represented the G29 group of technical and technological universities to attend the exhibition introducing science and technology products at the Vietnam Innovation Day 2024.

At the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 on the morning of October 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam's creative startup ecosystem is currently ranked 56/100 countries. The two economic locomotives, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, are among the top 200 creative startup cities worldwide.

Vietnam has about 4,000 creative startups, 20 creative startup centers and hundreds of investment promotion funds.

Government leaders emphasized that innovation is an irreversible trend. For Vietnam, this is an important factor for digital and green transformation in the new era of development. "Vietnam is facing great opportunities, but also challenges in science, technology, and innovation". The biggest challenge, according to the Prime Minister, is technological competitiveness compared to countries in the region and the world. Along with that, businesses have not fully mastered advanced technology, especially semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud computing.

Attending the Vietnam Innovation Day 2024, the University of Transport and Communications and Phenikaa University represented G29 to introduce scientific and technological products developed by scientists of the two Universities at the exhibition area of ​​the Program.

The UTC’s products have attracted much attention from visitors and the media. Some typical products of the University at the exhibition include the Autonomous Road Surface Inspection Equipment, Remote Object Control Equipment using Artificial Intelligence, Search and Rescue System using UAV integrated with Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Traffic Light Signal Monitoring and Control System, Super-performance concrete used in strengthening the steel deck of Thang Long Bridge.
