University of Transport and Communications shares difficulties with people affected by natural disasters and floods

In recent days, storm No. 3 (international name Yagi) with very strong intensity has devastated and caused heavy damage to the northern provinces of Vietnam. In times of hardship, the spirit of mutual love and helping each other of our people has become stronger than ever. As soon as we received information about the damage caused by storms and floods, the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) has actively responded and promptly implemented many meaningful activities to contribute to encouraging and alleviating the pain and loss, helping people in areas affected by storms, floods and natural disasters to quickly stabilize their lives and restore production.

Responding to the Donation Program to support people affected by natural disasters and floods launched by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Education Trade Union, on the afternoon of September 11, 2024, the University participated and donated 100 million VND.

Earlier on the morning of September 11, teachers and students donated and packaged 750 Chung cakes to support the relief groups in Yen Bai and Van Quan (Lang Son) Youth Unions. Early on the morning of September 12, the above Chung cakes were handed over to the volunteer group to be delivered to relief points in the above localities.

On the morning of September 12, 2024, the University organized for cadres, civil servants, and employees in the whole university to donate and support people affected by natural disasters and floods; before making the donation, all participants observed a minute of silence for the victims who died due to the impact of the recent storm No. 3. The money donated by cadres, civil servants, and employees of the University will be promptly delivered to the localities affected by the storm.
