UTC PRESIDENT HAD A MEETING WITH THE VICE CHANCELLOR OF UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN QUEENSLAND AND COUNSELLOR FOR EDUCATION AND RESEARCH, AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY IN VIETNAM
On May 2, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - President of the University, had a working meeting with Professor Karen Nelson – Vice Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Professor Ren Yi - Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Partnerships) of UniSQ, and Ms. Freya Kaine - Counsellor for Education and Research of Australian Embassy in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hung - President of the University, shared the development orientation of UTC in the coming period, along with the tasks assigned by the Government and relevant ministries and agencies, especially the leading role in receiving, interpreting, and decoding strategic technologies in the field of science and technology.
UniSQ, as a leading Australian university in implementing digital transformation, organizing online teaching and training, and possessing modern laboratory systems, UniSW Vice Chancellor and UTC President agreed to exchange and upgrade cooperation between the two universities. The focus will be on developing joint formal training programs, short-term training courses for human resource development, and collaborative research projects – with priority given to semiconductor chip technology and modern railways. The two sides also agreed to work together on quality assurance, share experiences in improving sustainable rankings on reputable international ranking systems, and exchange best practices in developing digital learning resources.

With the attention and support of the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Education and Training, it is believed that the cooperative relationship between the two universities will be effective in contributing to the consolidation and promotion of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) between Vietnam and Australia.
