Vietnam-Italy Steel Joint Stock Company awards scholarships to 30 students of the University of Transport and Communications

In recent years, many businesses and organizations have accompanied the educational activities of the University of Transport and Communications. Through cooperative activities, many valuable scholarships have been awarded to students by businesses. In the 2024-2025 academic year, Vietnam-Italy Steel Joint Stock Company has chosen to sponsor scholarships for students studying at the University of Transport and Communications.

At the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 academic year, Vietnam-Italy Steel Joint Stock Company awarded scholarships to 30 full-time students (each scholarship is worth VND 5,000,000) from the following faculties: Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and UTC Campus in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam-Italy Steel Joint Stock Company was established in 2002 with its headquarters in Hung Yen and a representative office in Hanoi.

2017 marked an important turning point when Vietnam-Italy Steel Joint Stock Company became a member of Kyoei Steel Corporation of Japan. Currently, the company is operating Hai Phong Steel Billet Factory and Hung Yen Steel Rolling Factory.

Since its establishment, the company has identified its target market segment as high-quality construction steel products using modern, environmentally friendly technology. Therefore, the company has invested in, built and operated a steel rolling line with a capacity of 350,000 tons/year using Daniely technology provided by the world's leading steel group Daniel - Italy and a billet smelting line with a capacity of 550,000 tons/year using Consteel technology, provided by the TECHIN group (Italy). To improve supply capacity and better meet customer needs, Vietnam Italy Steel is investing in an additional steel rolling line with a capacity of 500,000 tons/year, bringing the total capacity of the factory to 850,000 tons of steel/year by 2025.

The company's steel refining technology with electric arc furnace (EAF) feeding continuously across the body of the furnace is considered the most modern technology in the world today and is environmentally friendly due to the use of recycled materials and the destruction of natural resources. Therefore, Vietnam Italy Steel has been certified by the International Standards Organization (Bureau Veritas) for environmental management according to ISO 14001 - 2015 standards.

With the criterion "Product quality is the most important factor", Vietnam Italy Steel strictly controls all production processes from the selection of input materials to the delivery of products to customers. In addition, the Company regularly conducts improvement activities, sends staff to receive advanced training in Japan and participates in the prestigious continuous improvement award (Kaizen) organized annually by Kyoei Steel Corporation in Japan. 

With modern technology and advanced management capacity, Vietnam - Italy Steel Joint Stock Company has successfully produced construction steel products including steel coils and rebars; industrial steel including SAE wire rods and 30Mnsi prestressed steel. All products of the company meet international standards such as: Japanese standards, American standards, British standards, Chinese standards, Vietnamese standards...

Vietnam Italy Steel has affirmed its position in the domestic and regional steel market when it was chosen as the main material in key national construction projects such as: Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway, Thanh Tri bridge, Nhat Tan bridge, Son La Hydropower Plant, National Convention Center, Noi Bai Airport T2 International Terminal.....
