On September 7th 2021, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Transport and Communications (UTC) organized the online International Seminar on Inspection and Replacement of External Post Tensioning for Bridges. In this seminar, the Faculty was invited VSL Vietnam’s experts to present the experience on inspection and replacement of external post tensioning for bridges.
On September 7th 2021, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Transport and Communications (UTC) organized the online International Seminar on Inspection and Replacement of External Post Tensioning for Bridges. In this seminar, the Faculty was invited VSL Vietnam’s experts to present the experience on inspection and replacement of external post tensioning for bridges.
The seminar is pleased to welcome experts, scientists, lecturers, managers from Department of Science and Technology - Ministry of Transport, Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, University of Transport and Communications, and others.
At the seminar, Mr Tran Duc Lan, General Manager of VSL Vietnam delivered the introduction and capacity of VSL Vietnam in transport sector, especially in bridge engineering.
Mr. Vonk Edo, an expert of VSL International - Repair and Preservation Business Line - Business Development Manager in Switzerland, presented a very interesting presentation titled “External Post Tensioning Inspection and Replacement”. In this presentation, Mr Vonk Edo discussed about the external post tensioning testing and inspection, corrosion problem and causes, de-tensioning technique and its structural effects, replacement technique, protection level and system, grouting techniques and monitoring.
Christian Venetz, Director of Technical Center in Asia of VSL group in HongKong shared the experience of inspection and replacement technique in HongKong.
At the seminar, we had a very open and in-depth discussion about inspection and replacement of external post tensioning for bridges from many scientifics and experts.
This seminar was broadcast live on Facebook platform and attended by more than 60 officials, experts and scholars from Switzerland, Hongkong and Vietnam.
