With the desire to develop and promote the traditional cooperation relationship in the new period between the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) and the Army Corps 12 - Truong Son Construction Corporation. The delegation including leaders and key staff of the University visited and worked with Army Corps 12 - Truong Son Construction Corporation on December 2, 2021.
Before the working session, the delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Road Museum, a unit under the Army Corps 12 - Truong Son Construction Corporation, admired the historical Ho Chi Minh Road memorabilia, listened to the introduction of the heroic history of Group 559 - Truong Son High Command in the past and the strong development steps of the Army Corps 12 - Truong Son Construction Corporation today. From the early arduous days of the great task of paving the way, many generations of teachers and students of the University of Transport and Communications, together with students and young people across the country, directly participated in the construction of traffic routes under the name of Group 559 - Truong Son High Command. And when peace was restored, Truong Son High Command received a new task, there were many former students of UTC working and growing up at the Corporation.
In an atmosphere filled with sincere emotions, commemorating the soliders who sacrificed on the legendary route of the nation, each member of the delegation all felt deeply proud of the heroic feats that our fathers' generation has established, especially the transportation imprints in which greatly contributed to the victory of the nation.
The two sides had a working session and openly discussed the implementation of cooperation programs in the coming time. Colonel, Dr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc - Commander of Army Corps 12 - Chairman of the Members' Council, General Director of Truong Son Construction Corporation and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Long – President of the University Transport and Communications chaired the meeting with the participation of comrades in the Army Corps Command, commanders of the Army Corp’s units; the Chairman of the University Council, the Vice Presidents, heads of departments, faculties and staff of the University.
Representatives of leaders from the two units signed a bilateral cooperation agreement as a legal framework basis for organizing and implementing cooperation programs and plans with the following main contents: Cooperation in staff training; research and application of science and technology, consultation and technology transfer; training support and student recruitment. The two sides agreed on an annual detailed implementation plan. In order to concretize and effectively implement cooperation activities, the University and the Corporation assigned the focal units to be responsible for monitoring, exchanging and reporting to the leaders of each party on information related to cooperative activities.
The visit and working session with Army Corps 12 - Truong Son Construction Corporation ended successfully, opening a new phase in the cooperation relationship between the two parties with the expectation of cooperation programs and activities which will bring the practical effect for both sides.
