University of Transport and Communications ranks among the top universities leading centers of excellence and talent training
The University of Transport and Communications has been selected by the Ministry of Education and Training as one of 13 higher education institutions leading centers of excellence and talent training in technology across nine fields.
The list was announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on the morning of June 14 at the conference on implementing projects for human resource development and the “three-party cooperation” model.
Project 347, approved by the Government in February, aims to develop a system of centers of excellence and talent training through focused and prioritized investment in selected higher education institutions with established strengths. This group will serve as the core for connecting and leveraging domestic and international resources for training, research, and technology transfer activities in several priority technology fields of Industry 4.0.
In each priority technology field, the Government requires the establishment of 1–2 networks of centers of excellence and talent training.
Each network of centers is to be led by a higher education institution with established strengths, with the participation of at least five other universities and a number of enterprises. This task must be completed before July 15.
According to the project, each network must organize at least one excellent program in adaptive training, retraining, upskilling, or specialized training. At the same time, each network aims to attract at least 100 outstanding scientists and experts, either Vietnamese residing abroad or foreigners, to participate in teaching and research.
