On the afternoon of April 9, 2025, the leadership of the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) welcomed and held a working session with Mr. Noam Mizrahi, Executive Vice President and Corporate Chief Technology Officer at Marvell, and Dr. Le Quang Dam, General Director of Marvell Vietnam, to discuss cooperation in the field of semiconductors.

Established in 1995, Marvell Group ranks among the top 10 global corporations in semiconductor integrated circuit design and data infrastructure provision. In the fiscal year 2025 (from January 29, 2024, to February 1, 2025), Marvell recorded net revenue of $5.7 billion USD, a 4.7% increase compared to the previous year. Marvell Vietnam Company was established in 2013 and currently employs approximately 500 engineers at its offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. Marvell Vietnam aims to become Marvell's third-largest integrated circuit design center globally within the next two years, after the main centers in the United States and the branch in India.

During his short working visit to Vietnam, Mr. Noam Mizrahi, Executive Vice President of the Group, also met with leaders of the Ministry of Finance and the National Innovation Center (NIC) to explore training programs for human resources in semiconductor industry, expand cooperation with agencies and organizations in Vietnam, and increase investment in research activities, contributing to promoting the formation and sustainable development of the national semiconductor industry ecosystem. Welcoming the delegation at the University of Transport and Communications were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung, President of the University; and representatives of leaders from the International Cooperation and Development Studies Department, the Science and Technology Department, and the Faculty of Electrical - Electronic Engineering.

During the meeting, President Nguyen Van Hung provided an overview of the University's development history, training programs, capabilities, and development orientation in the field of integrated circuit design, highlighting the current and future attention and investment from the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry of Education and Training. Based on this, the University President requested the Marvell Group's Vice President to support UTC in training semiconductor human resources for lecturers and students, improving the University's current training programs, sponsoring scholarships, supporting student internships at semiconductor design centers in Vietnam, and collaborating with UTC to open an office in Hanoi.

Mr. Noam Mizrahi expressed his support for the President's proposals and added that Marvell Vietnam currently needs to recruit an additional 20% of engineers each year, provides 30 scholarships for students, and 50 enhanced internship opportunities. Marvell Group is willing to cooperate with the University in training key human resources (highly specialized lecturers, excellent students), updating training programs to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and creating opportunities for students to intern at the Group's branches.

Thanking the goodwill and cooperative support of the Marvell Group's Executive Vice President, Chairman of the University Council - Nguyen Thanh Chuong proposed that the two sides soon discuss and concretize the cooperation plan, such as internship programs for students in the Electrical – Electronic Engineering departments at the Ho Chi Minh City Campus.

At the end of the working session, the University leaders and the Group assigned tasks to focal points to develop a cooperation plan and set a goal to sign a cooperation agreement in the near future.
