Minister of Education and Training presents Appointment Decisions to the Leadership of the University of Transport and Communications

On the afternoon of June 5, 2026, the Ministry of Education and Training held a conference to announce decisions on the appointment of heads and deputy heads of higher education and vocational education institutions under the Ministry, in accordance with the new organizational model implemented pursuant to Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

The Conference was attended by Mr. Lai Xuan Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee; representatives of central agencies; leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training; and leaders of universities, academies, higher education institutions, and vocational education institutions under the Ministry.

Speaking at the Conference, Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son emphasized that strengthening and consolidating the leadership teams of educational institutions is an important task, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of university governance, meeting the requirements for fundamental and comprehensive reform in education and training, and creating new momentum for the development of educational institutions in the coming period.

At the Conference, Minister Hoang Minh Son presented the decision appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung as President of the University of Transport and Communications; the decision assigning and appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong as Vice President; and the decision appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoai Duc as Vice President of the University of Transport and Communications.

The consolidation of the University’s leadership team marks an important milestone, laying a solid foundation for the University of Transport and Communications to effectively implement its development strategies in the new phase. This appointment is not only a recognition by the Ministry of Education and Training of the competence and reputation of the University’s leadership team, but also reflects its confidence in UTC’s pioneering role in training high-quality human resources, conducting scientific research, and promoting technology transfer in the field of transportation.
