MoU Signing Ceremony between the University of Transport and Communications and Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited, Thailand
On November 14, 2024, the University of Transport and Communications held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic cooperation with Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited and COLAS Group. This is an important event to mark a new step in the promising partnership between the University and a major corporation in the field of transportation construction engineering.

At the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Vice President of the University, emphasized that enhancing international cooperation with leading groups in the transportation construction engineering sector to improve the quality of training and scientific research is currently a key goal of the University of Transport and Communications.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung also recognized Tipco Asphalt as the leading company in Asia for asphalt solutions. With more than 40 years of operation with a desire to become "innovative solutions partner", the company has developed many products, processes, and creative solutions for partners to use their products and services safely and effectively.
The University of Transport and Communications and Tipco Asphalt have collaborated for the past 10 years, with numerous activities such as connecting with strategic partners, organizing specialized workshops, and carrying out joint research projects on solutions related to construction and transportation, with goals to reduce emissions, environmental balance to ensure the standards, social activities and corporate governance.
This cooperation opens up many opportunities for students and lecturers to enhance practical knowledge, access advanced technology, and gain hands-on experience in the field of transportation construction engineering.

Representing Tipco Asphalt, Mr. Chaiwat Srivalwat shared: "The world is facing urgent challenges, from climate change to resource depletion, therefore the need for environmentally friendly infrastructure is a critical issue.
