The University of Transport and Communications welcomed and worked with professors and scientists from Hungary

On October 29, 2024, UTC had a meeting and worked with Professors and scientists from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) and the Hungarian Institute for Computer Science and Control (HUN-REN SZTAKI). 

Attending the meeting, on the side of UTC were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Vice President of the University and representatives of the leaders of the Departments - Faculties: Department of International Cooperation and Development Studies, Department of Undergraduate Education, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Electrical – Electronic Engineering.

On the Hungarian side, led by Prof. Peter Gaspar, Head of the Kálmán Kandó Doctoral School at BME and Head of the System Control Laboratory (HUN-REN SZTAKI), and 3 experts in automotive dynamics and control from HUN-REN SZTAKI. In the morning of the same day, the scientists attended the International Workshop on “Vehicle dynamics and control: Autonomous vehicles” hosted by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Nguyen Van Hung reviewed the cooperation results between UTC and BME in the past time, including training PhD students, student exchange, and coordinating the organization of international conferences. He also appreciated the Professors for their support to lecturers and students of UTC in particular and the Hungarian State for the Vietnamese people in general. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung suggested that in the coming time, scientists from BME and HUN-REN SZTAKI will support lecturers and students of UTC in accessing advanced world technology in the field of automotive dynamics and control.

On behalf of the Hungarian delegation, Prof. Peter Gaspar expressed his appreciation to the University for its warm welcome, expressed his willingness to share learning materials and resources as well as cooperation with Vietnam, and believed that the cooperation between the University of Transport and Communications, BME, and HUN-REN SZTAKI Institute will achieve more results in the future.
