On March 20, 2025, the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) organized an experience-sharing seminar on the topic of Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education.

Overview of the Seminar

Attendees at the seminar included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung – University President, leaders of Faculties, Departments, Offices, Centers, and Boards, along with two guest speakers from Hanoi University of Science and Technology: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Hai Tung – Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology, and Dr. Dinh Viet Sang – Vice Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology, Deputy Director of the BK AI Center.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung – University President delivered the opening remarks

In his opening remarks at the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung – University President stated: Currently, the University of Transport and Communications is implementing digital transformation activities in various forms. Particularly in the near future, the University has a project to build a digital ecosystem. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung expressed his gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Hai Tung and Dr. Dinh Viet Sang for accepting the invitation to the University of Transport and Communications to share their insights on innovation and the application of AI in teaching. This issue is very important, especially as the University promotes online training and aims to build the University according to the shared university and smart university models. In the near future, the University will continue to organize thematic workshops on the application of AI in teaching and management with faculties and units within the University.

The seminar program included two sessions: "Digital Transformation and Innovation in Higher Education" presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Hai Tung - Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology, HUST; and "Artificial Intelligence and its Applications in Teaching and Research" presented by Dr. Dinh Viet Sang - Vice Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology, Deputy Director of the BKAI Center.

Through the content of the sessions and the valuable practical experiences shared by the speakers, the University gained useful information for its digital transformation process.
