On March 13, 2025, the University of Transport and Communications was honored to welcome Professor Young-Sup Joo - Distinguished Professor, Seoul National University, Chairman of the Korea Information Technology Convergence Network (KICON), former Minister of the Korean Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Management. The meeting was chaired by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Hung – UTC President.

Professor Young-Sup Joo is a reputable scholar with a solid academic background and extensive experience in the fields of manufacturing engineering and industrial engineering. His contributions are not only significant in the academic world but also have had a great practical impact in policy advice, educational development and international cooperation.

At the meeting, Professor Young-Sup Joo shared his rich experiences in promoting the role of universities in the relationship with enterprises to create an ecosystem that supports innovation and sustainable development. The professor also advised on connecting the University of Transport and Communications with Korean enterprises, universities and research institutes in implementing programs and projects related to urban railways, high-speed railways and semiconductors.
