University of Transport and Communications hosts Welcome Day for International Exchange Students

On September 8, 2026, the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) organized a Welcome Day for 40 international exchange students from France, Germany, and Hungary, providing an opportunity to strengthen connections, share essential information, and enrich their academic and cultural experience at UTC.

The event was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoai Duc – Vice President of University of Transport and Communications; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Tung – Acting Director of the Department of Student Affairs; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Ha – Deputy Director of the Office of International Education Programs (INED), together with representatives from the Department of External Relations, academic advisors, international exchange students, and student club representatives from INED.

This semester, UTC is pleased to welcome students from a number of prestigious European partner universities, including Builders École d’Ingénieurs, ESTP Paris, EIVP – Gustave Eiffel, Université Gustave Eiffel, ESITC Paris, INSA Rennes, and Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour – ISA BTP in France; the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and HTW Dresden in Germany; and Budapest University of Technology and Economics – BME in Hungary.

During the program, international students were introduced to UTC’s academic environment and received important guidance on courses and timetables, examinations, student services, visa and residence procedures, campus facilities, transportation, daily life in Hanoi, safety, and cultural adaptation.

The event also provided an opportunity for international students to meet university representatives, academic advisors, and Vietnamese students, learn more about student clubs and activities, and build connections within the UTC community.

Welcome Day concluded in a joyful and friendly atmosphere, with memorable moments captured in commemorative photos. The event once again demonstrated the University of Transport and Communications’ commitment to promoting the internationalization of education, fostering a multicultural learning environment, and creating opportunities for students from Vietnam and abroad to learn from one another and grow together.
