Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung – President of the University, shared: "The University of Transport and Communications is entering 2025, the 80th anniversary of the University's tradition, with many challenges as well as opportunities. The first and primary challenge is the issue of university autonomy. The second challenge is the continued renovation and upgrading of infrastructure, including investing in human resources. These activities require significant financial resources. We must also implement Resolution 18 from the Party's Central Committee on restructuring and streamlining the system; address the issue of increasing income for faculty and staff; the competition between domestic universities and international partners; and secure resources to expand the University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung – President of the University delivered a speech

Alongside these challenges, there are favorable conditions: The issue of autonomy will provide the University with tools, resources, and pressure to solve the problem of increasing revenue, effectively exploiting the University's infrastructure in accordance with legal regulations; commercializing scientific and technological products; reviewing training programs in a modern and integrated direction; and building a digital ecosystem for faculty, administrators, and learners.

These are tasks not only for the coming academic year but for a long-term process. Some tasks can be implemented immediately, some will need to be done gradually, and some have no precedent. With these tasks, we sincerely hope to receive the support of the leadership, the Party Committee, the University Council, and all the faculty, staff, and employees, so that in 2025, the University will continue to achieve many new successes."
