University of Transport and Communications is honored to be selected as a national key higher education institution in the field of transport.
On February 27, 2025, the Vietnam Prime Minister issued Decision No. 452/QD-TTg on approving the planning of the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
Decision 452/QD-TTg includes a section on the development orientation of five key universities in engineering and technology. Five universities will be focused on investment and upgrading to become national key universities in engineering and technology, with quality on par with the region. These are five public universities with leading capacity and prestige in training and researching a number of key and spearhead technology fields and sectors. These universities, along with national universities and a number of regional universities, play a core and pivotal role in training high-quality human resources, researching and developing strategic technology fields and national digital transformation.

The University of Transport and Communications is honored to be selected as a key higher education institution in the field of transport. Also according to Decision No. 452/QD-TTg, the University of Transport and Communications (Main campus in Hanoi and Campus in Ho Chi Minh City) is included in the Program and Project prioritized for investment, upgrading and development in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
