2022 is a special year for students of the University of Transport and Communications with many outstanding sports achievements. The male student football team won the National Student Football Champions League 2022; The male student basketball team won the Runner-up at the National Student Basketball Championship.

To recognize the achievements as well as encourage the spirit of the two teams, the UTC held a meeting to commend the football team and the basketball team on November 25, 2022.

Attending the meeting were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong – Secretary of the University Party Committee, Vice President; Prof. Dr. Le Hoai Duc – Vice President, members of two sports teams, Physical Education Department and relevant functional units.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong highly appreciated the efforts of the two teams and was proud of their excellent achievements. The success of the two teams has brought joy and inspired the learning and training process of the UTC’s students, contributing to building the brand and image of the University to the society.

He also thanked all staff, lecturers, students of the University as well as Sponsors who have always accompanied, encouraged, and created the best conditions to energize the sports teams.

With the desire to educate students comprehensively, in addition to focusing on improving the quality of education, the University of Transport and Communications always creates conditions for students to participate in playing and competing in sports for improving health.

Student Nguyen Tung Linh - captain of the basketball team, on behalf of the members of the two teams, thanked the University, the fans, the sponsors for their concern and encouragement both materially and spiritually.
