MoU Signing ceremony between University of Transport and Communications and Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO)

On January 6, 2025, at the headquarters of CONINCO, a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony took place between the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) and Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO).

Attending the signing ceremony on behalf of CONINCO were Mr. Nguyen Van Cong - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director, members of the Board of Directors, representatives of employees and workers of the Company.

On the side of the University of Transport and Communications, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoai Duc - Vice President and leaders of functional units.

Overview of the signing ceremony

The content of the cooperation agreement between the two units includes the following main points: UTC trains engineering classes in Traffic Engineering (railway major) for CONINCO; CONINCO creates internship opportunities and trains working skills for UTC students; The two sides coordinate to research scientific topics and transfer technology; CONINCO provides financial support and awards scholarships to UTC.

Other cooperation activities in the field of traffic consulting in general and railway traffic in particular: Introducing foreign consulting partners and foreign business partners who are cooperating with the University of Transport and Communications and cooperating with CONINCO; Cooperating in providing experts, introducing traffic human resources; investing in specialized laboratory equipment to jointly exploit and use the key LAS room for testing railway traffic works.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of CONINCO said, "Currently, our country has been researching and investing in the construction of a high-speed railway line in the overall development of long-term transportation planning. In addition to the services that the Company has provided for the aviation and road sectors, the Company has been approaching a number of consulting orientations in the field of transportation; Improving the professional capacity of consulting engineers in this field is one of the requirements in CONINCO's strategy with the tradition of always being a pioneer in the country's development projects. The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement with the University of Transport and Communications - a prestigious and quality training institution and the opening of the Railway Engineering class with 23 students today are the steps to realize that development strategy."

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - President of the University of Transport and Communications affirmed that this is an important event, marking a new step forward in the cooperative relationship between the University and enterprises. This cooperation aims to train human resources, build a team of experts and consulting engineers, promptly approach and proactively participate in railway projects.

This is also an important preparation step to participate deeply in the construction and development of the railway industry in particular and the transportation industry in general in Vietnam.

The cooperation between the two sides opens up many opportunities for students and lecturers of the University to access practical resources, including experience in implementing large projects, advanced technology and deep expertise in the construction field. On the side of CONINCO, it will access high-quality human resource training sources, meeting current and future development needs.

At the same time, this cooperative relationship will be the foundation for developing effective training and research models, contributing to creating practical and sustainable values”.

Right after the signing ceremony between the two units was the Opening Ceremony of the training course for the Transport Construction Engineering class (specializing in railway engineering) with 23 students who are officers and engineers of the Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO).
