Receiving and working with the delegation of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam

On October 26, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Chairman of the University Council, chaired the reception for the delegation of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, led by Ms. Nikola Sichlevora - Economic Counselor and representatives of the leaders of Brno University of Technology. Also welcoming and working with the delegation were Ms. Bui Thi Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Development Studies and representatives of leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Information Technology.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long expressed his pleasure to welcome Ms. Nikola Sichlerova and representatives of Brno University of Technology, and at the same time informed the delegation about the major features of the university's construction and development tradition, the University's strengths in training, scientific research and technology transfer. The Chairman of the University Council also shared the University's orientation and strategy in international integration, expressing the University of Transport and Communications' desire to develop cooperative relationships with universities in the Czech Republic in general and Brno University of Technology in particular.

Ms. Nikola Sichlerova thanked the University for the warm welcome and highly appreciated the strengths, potential and development orientation of the University of Transport and Communications. Ms. Nikola Sichler affirmed that she will promote and introduce the potential and strengths of the University of Transport and Communications to universities, organizations and businesses with the same interests. She pledged that the Embassy of the Czech Republic will always be a bridge and actively support the promotion of cooperative relationships between universities and businesses to bring practical results.

After the social reception program by the university's leader, Dr. Hoang Van Thong, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, and lecturers of the Faculty had a discussion about in-depth expertise and potential cooperation opportunities in the field of information technology between the two universities. The two sides agreed to actively exchange to implement scientific research cooperation programs, organize summer courses, and exchange lecturers and students.

At the end of the working program, the two sides agreed to soon develop and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two institutions, serving as a legal basis and premise for bilateral and multilateral cooperation programs and activities in the future.
