University of Transport and Communications rises 170 places in QS Asia University Rankings 2025
QS University Rankings is one of the 7 prestigious university rankings in the world (according to statistics from Elsevier). QS University Rankings was established in 2004 by the education organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) - UK.
The main purpose is to introduce the best universities in the world, thereby helping students have an overview of the education system and make decisions on choosing the right school for their career and desired path. In addition, based on the rankings, employers can find high-quality human resources. Not only that, the rankings also create motivation to strive and help insitutions identify specific goals such as improving the quality of training, scientific research and promoting integration with world education to improve their position on the rankings.
QS University Rankings include rankings by region, by country, and by specific subject groups as follows: QS World University Rankings by Region (QS Asia University Rankings, QS Arab University Rankings, QS Latin America University Rankings, QS EECA University Rankings, QS BRICS University Rankings); QS World University Rankings by Location and QS World University Rankings by Subject.
The University of Transport and Communications was ranked for the first time in the QS Asia University Rankings 2024 in the Top 651-700 Universities in Asia, Top 107 Universities in Southeast Asia, and Top 11 Universities in Vietnam (out of a total of 15 ranked universities).
On November 7, 2024, QS announced the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025. With its efforts in developing the university to become a multi-disciplinary university research oriented, asserting its leading role in Vietnamese transportation with reputation and quality of Asian standards, the University of Transport and Communications has made remarkable progress: ranked in the Top 481-490 of Asian Universities (jump of 170 places) out of 984 universities from 25 countries and territories ranked, Top 83 of Southeast Asian Universities (jump of 24 places), and Top 11 of Universities in Vietnam (out of a total of 17 ranked universities).
The ranking system according to QS Asia University Rankings focuses on 09 criteria: Academic reputation (30%); Citations per faculty (20%); Employer reputation (15%); Employment outcomes (5%); International faculty ratio (5%); International research network (5%); International student ratio (5%); Faculty student ratio (10%); Sustainability (5%).
The remarkable growth of the University of Transport and Communications shows the improvement in teaching quality, research efficiency, student quality and internationalization capability of the University.
